A wristband. Details worth discussing.
From samples to field use, and first purchases to repeat orders, turn common questions into steps you can record and check.
These purchasing checks are compiled by WEARAMIO. Record actual specifications and conditions of use in the project documents. Medical applications should follow the using organization’s own procedures.
Approving a wristband print layout: start with the printable area
Obtain dimension drawings and printable-area details before placing actual fields in the template. Total length, band width, and print space are different measurements. A layout that fits on screen still needs testing on the actual wristband and printer.
Comparing wristband sizes and closures: let samples answer the questions
Do not compare total length alone. Check adjustment range, effective closed size, and printable area, then record wearing and removal feedback through an authorized evaluation process. Verify project suitability with specific samples.
Packing event wristbands: work back from entry points and ticket types
Break event wristband quantities down by ticket type, date, access rights, and distribution point. List planned use, spares, and pack units separately, and approve package labels and number ranges so on-site staff can collect and check stock against a list.
Delivering RFID wristband numbers: map chip data to printed identifiers
Do not assume a visible wristband number, data read from its chip, and the business system identifier are identical. Confirm field meanings, code sources, and binding methods before verifying the mapping with a small set of samples and a sample file.
Accepting wristband deliveries: keep records for the next reorder
Compare deliveries with final approved documentation, checking style, version, groups, quantities, and critical operating requirements. After acceptance, retain batch and test records. For reorders, specify which conditions remain unchanged and which have changed.
